I never used one, but I do not see any missing buckles or cut webbing, this is in excellent used condition. I was also unable to make out the date on the label. Without sharing my thoughts, I had two people look at it and they both thought as I did, that it is 195x year, none of us could make out the last number, but I also thought the 5 might be a 6, so did not want to call it 50's when it could be a 60's item.
